Let's Go Fly a Kite

New year, new fun! One of our new activities is our family music book.

To assemble our music book, I found an old binder and bought sheet protectors. Toddler M helped me decorate the cover of our music book.

Every week (or so) we add a new song to our music book. The first week we sang "Where is Thumbkin?" I wrote the lyrics on a sheet of paper, and to decorate it, we traced Toddler M and Baby J's hands and I drew faces on the thumbs.

The next week our song was "Let's Go Fly a Kite." Have you tried singing this song from Mary Poppins on a dreary, cloudy day? It is guaranteed to make you smile. We found a clip from the movie on YouTube with the song and sang along.

Toddler M had been reading the book That Makes Me Angry (it might be out of print; I bought it at a library booksale). In the book, Bert and Ernie fly an orange kite. Toddler M wanted to fly a kite just like them. So, we made a kite and flew it...

I haven't picked out a song for this week yet. Any suggestions?
